by Editorial team

This partnership will enable Dassault Systèmes to offer its German customers the Open Telekom Cloud as the infrastructure for their 3DEXPERIENCE platform. A study published by the International Data Corporation (IDC) at the 3DEXPERIENCE Forum in Leipzig showed that 56% of 100 industrial companies in Germany already use PLM services as cloud services.

The survey also revealed that 83% of those surveyed consider data storage in Germany to be an essential factor, underlining the importance of the partnership between Dassault Systèmes and Germany’s leading cloud provider Deutsche Telekom.

Very happy about the new partnership: Laurent Blanchard (Dassault Systèmes), Luz G. Mauch (T-Systems) and Andreas Barth (Dassault Systèmes).

“Our customers’ interest in using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform in the cloud is growing steadily, especially among small and medium-sized businesses. Since cloud solutions facilitate the direct integration of providers, we are very pleased to be able to offer our customers a German hosting partner to process sensitive development and production data,” explains Andreas Barth, Managing Director EuroCentral at Dassault Systèmes.

“We are very pleased to have Dassault Systèmes as a solution partner for our cloud offering. With the 3DEXPERIENCE platform in the cloud, both medium-sized companies and corporations in the automotive and manufacturing industries can map critical business processes quickly and without any major up-front investments, thus accelerating their companies’ digital transformation,” says Luz G. Mauch, Senior Vice President for Automotive & Manufacturing Industries at T-Systems.

“With Dassault Systèmes we have expanded our comprehensive cloud ecosystem to include an important partner with the highest level of expertise in product lifecycle management. Our tried-and-tested, highly secure cloud infrastructure will enable us to make a major contribution to increasing the data security and reliability of this solution. We have a lot of ideas on innovative concepts we can launch on the market as part of this infrastructure collaboration,” says Frank Strecker, Senior Vice President for Cloud Partner Products & Ecosystems.

The advantages of cloud solutions for users include quick access to new functions, a reduced workload of the company’s IT department, and flexible billing concepts. IDC expects the cloud to become the de facto IT architecture model for digital transformation in the medium term. The partnership between Dassault Systèmes and Deutsche Telekom also opens up a secure path into the future for companies that intend to combine a hybrid approach of cloud and on-premise services.
