Radio OTC is the vibrant, dynamic video podcast from the Open Telekom Cloud.

In this article you will read,

  • what Radio OTC is all about,
  • how partners can benefit from it and
  • where you can find the episodes.

Sound off, recording on – “Radio OTC” has been on the air since February 2025. In Episode 0, OTC experts Dennis Kasper and Stefan-Adrian Demele introduce the goals of this new channel. Instead of rock or jazz beats, the video podcast spotlights user interviews. Partners and customers share their experiences with the Open Telekom Cloud – what inspired them to join and what services they’re building on its foundation.

What is Radio OTC?

The idea for Radio OTC was born at the d.velop Summit 2024. The organizers chose a “silent party” concept for the event at Areal Böhler in Düsseldorf in June 2024: several stages in one hall, with participants wearing headsets to tune into the presentation of their choice without being distracted by others. “At that time, we had our own Magenta Channel at the event for the Open Telekom Cloud – we moderated the events on our mini stage at the stand, among other things,” explains Stefan-Adrian Demele.

The fresh, new format was well received. Hendrik Lahme, Chief Customer Success Officer, and Stefan Gebhardt, Chief Business Officer of Open Telekom Cloud, saw its potential and decided to launch Radio OTC. Stefan and Dennis were chosen to give the Open Telekom Cloud a voice, and a face, by regularly reporting first-hand on how customers are using Europe’s leading cloud platform.

The two “radio” hosts now travel with their mobile Radio OTC kit: a complete set of professional video and audio equipment, along with decorative elements, all packed and ready in Munich. When a partner expresses interest in a podcast, the OTC team loads everything into the car and heads to the company’s location. “The recorded material is used to create an episode lasting around 15 to 30 minutes, in which we speak to a technical and a business representative.” The authentic voices of users offer prospective customers a genuine look into how the Open Telekom Cloud is used in practice. “But it's also important to us that our partners can introduce themselves,” adds Dennis Kasper.

After recording, it’s off to the studio. There, the two radio producers review the resulting material, edit the best segments, add presentation slides, and craft it all into an engaging episode, supported by a highly motivated team of students. The current plan is to release a new episode every two months. Each finished video is uploaded to the OTC channel on YouTube. In addition, partners receive the episode file to use on their own platforms, for example, by embedding it on their website. “This also makes Radio OTC part of the go-to-marketing package for our partners,” explains Dennis Kasper, ”because at the end of the day, the focus is on them. The Open Telekom Cloud is and remains just a platform on which they build and operate their value-added services.”

Partners benefit from Radio OTC for their go-to-market strategy

At the same time, the series showcases what the cloud can do – and what it’s already doing in practice. Viewers benefit, too, by gaining a candid, behind-the-scenes look at how the Open Telekom Cloud is used, straight from the user’s perspective.

Check out Radio OTC or get in touch to become the next featured guest. Stefan and Dennis are ready to hit the road for the next stop on the rolling radio tour.
