You can now easily replicate your data to another region with the Object Storage Service at the push of a button. Your data is then available in 6 availability zones, which in turn corresponds to 4 physical data centers (twin-core principle). This not only increases the security and resilience of your data, but also helps you to meet any regulatory requirements for geo-redundancy. Because if you operate critical infrastructure, you are a supplier or service provider of critical infrastructure or you have to meet the requirements of geo-redundancy for other reasons, then you now have the option to store your data geo-redundantly.
Cross-region replication is billed per amount of data transferred. Please take a look at the service description.
A simple step-by-step guide on how to set up the service can be found in the relevant OTC Community Blog or in the OTC-Documentation. Feel free to ask any questions on the dedicated community blog.
