We would like to inform you that we fixed a bug within the Object Storage Service Lifecycle Policy Console / User Interface that prevented the creation of a policy that moves/transists objects to the warm storage class after 1-29 days. Therefore it had only been possible to configure a transition to warm after 30 days. With the fix it is now possible to move data after 1 day to the Warm Storage class using lifecycle policies.

Important Note: In case it is not possible to configure a transition to warm < 30 days, then please make sure to delete your browsers cache or make use of incognito mode.

Lifecycle Policies are extremely useful to move data to target storage class after a specific period of time. Use-cases are manifold. But most often it is used when a 3rd party tool is used that does not support Open Telekom Clouds available storage classes. Thanks to lifecycle policies it is then possible to automatically move data to the target class like Warm or Cold.
