SFS sold out but SFS Turbo is open for you

Open Telekom Cloud Scalable File Service (SFS) capacity is sold out due to huge customer demand. Unfortunately, we cannot deliver the new SFS cluster for you in time. Therefore, we have no choice than to suspend the offer of SFS for a while. But you can use an almost unlimited capacity of the SFS Turbo Standard or Performance solution in the German area in AZ1 or AZ2. SFS Turbo is almost in the same price range as SFS, but has a more robust IO performance, especially for small files. Therefore, we also ask our SFS customers to try SFS Turbo. Maybe it will be a more effective solution for everyone in the future.

Even though SFS is an outdated solution, we are constantly working on the necessary enhancements, but in a different AZ. Please be patient and follow the news in the Release Notes and on the product page.

We need to point out that we will be deleting all unused SFS volumes in the near future, as we are changing the pricing for the product and this will result in price changes for small volumes. We kindly ask customers to review their projects and use SFS Turbo Standard or Object Storage for archiving unused files.
