The Scalable File Service (SFS) is a networked attached storage service based on the NFS file system. The Open Telekom Cloud introduces a new revision in its Beta program: SFS Turbo boosts the performance of distributed data storage and is available in all three availability zones of the “eu-de” region. To facilitate the new service, users may choose any storage class available with classic EVS volumes to address their needs regarding capacity, latency, and throughput. The service is implemented as a new SFS type available from the web console.
As an added feature, connections to the SFS Turbo are now accessible through VPNs. The new service API for SFS Turbo is documented together with an extensive user guide in the Open Telekom Cloud Help Center. The service, which is not yet covered by SLAs during its Beta phase, is available for all Open Telekom Cloud users. For questions on the service and feedback, the Open Telekom Cloud recommends discussing in the Community Portal under the topic “SFS”.
