We are pleased to announce that we now have a root squash function available for SFS Turbo that can be controlled via the API. This helps to improve the security and integrity of NFS file systems. Because with root-squash, superuser privileges of client machines can be downgraded when the file system is accessed.
Why is this important?
By usage of root-squash, you can further minimise the risk of unwanted manipulation of the NFS file system. This is because root-squash prevent a superuser with root rights on client systems from gaining full root access to the file system of the SFS Turbo.
You can find the Root Squash API in our documentation.
