The next generation of new c4 and m4 Flavors are based on KVM hypervisor and are now available. The improvement doubles the network bandwidth and are the successor of the m3 / c3 generation.
The m4 ECSs use second-generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors with technologies optimized to offer powerful and stable computing performance. Using 25GE high-speed intelligent NICs, m4 ECSs provide a maximum memory size of 512 GB based on DDR4 for large-memory applications with high requirements on network bandwidth and Packets Per Second (PPS).
M4 Flavors are in all availability zones(AZ) from m4.large.8 (2 vCPU, 16 GB Mem) to m4.16xlarge.8 (64 vCPU, 512 Gb Mem) available.

C4 Flavors are currently in AZ3 from c4.large.2 (2 vCPU, 4 GB Mem) to c4.16xlarge.4 (64 vCPU, 256 GB Mem) available.
The c3/m3 Flavor are still available and can be used as well.
