October 2024 Kafka 3.x flavors will also be part of the standard flavor selection. The used beta instances will be automatically transitioned into the regular flavors. The new pricing model of DMS is automatically active for all new instances. Service description (Page 26)
Flexible broker selection
All new DMS flavors support a configurable number of brokers 3-30 / 3-50 to be allocated in a DMS cluster. With this feature it is possible to configure replication factors across partitions in a more flexible way during the instance creation. A list of the new instance specifications can be found here.
New Kafka flavors
We added 2 additional new Kafka cluster flavors, to support a wider range of combinations of broker flavors and quantity to meet your performance needs. The new flavor specifications do offer a higher network bandwidth allocation per broker. Additionally, also single instances can be created now to support e.g. development and testing requirements, when high-availability is not needed.
A mapping between old and new DMS flavors is available here.
