The new Bare Metal Server i7 has enabled INTEL Software Guard Extensions (SGX) and allows applications to be executed in an isolated and secure runtime environment - "Secure Enclave" - at the processor and main memory level. Program code is securely encrypted in main memory during execution.
With these features, a complete End-to-End encryption of data can be achieved and this allows the execution of applications with highly sensitive data, such as personal, health and financial data.
The Bare Metal Server has 2 CPUs with 28 cores each based on INTEL Ice Lake, 512 GB RAM and local hard disks.
You can find this new Bare Metal Server in the OTC Console under "Bare Metal Server" in the "Computing" section and here it is the "physical.i7n.28xlarge.4" in the EU-DE region.
