Incident management is a key component of Zero Outage. The globally standardized program achieves the maximum degree of professionalization through continuous repetition of solution processes. Alongside a clearly defined chain of communication and specified escalation levels, incident management also includes a global manager-on-duty service. Similar to an emergency service, representatives from senior or top management together with a dedicated team are available in case of emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The manager on duty will be involved immediately as the responsible contact person and coordinates all processes for solving the problem. At T-Systems, around 140 managers on duty are deployed worldwide and take turns to assume responsibility in the event of an emergency.
