Yes, we are open! From September 18, we will not only be opening the doors of our Brandhouse at Europe's largest digital trade fair, but also launching the Open Telekom Cloud Marketplace. Our new platform connects customers seeking innovative XaaS (Everything as a Service) applications or cloud-based security technologies with the right solution partners - quickly and efficiently.

“With the new Open Telekom Cloud Marketplace, we are establishing a central service in our dynamic ecosystem. We are leveraging our powerful network to guide our customers through the jungle of products and services and offer our partners access to our customer base,” explains Andreas Falkner, Vice President of Open Telekom Cloud.

The demand for cloud-based solutions and services is high. According to Bitkom, 61% of German companies want to optimize their internal processes with cloud technologies, and an equal number aim to switch to cloud platforms or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). Increased IT security (57%) and access to innovative technologies (38%) are also driving interest in cloud adoption.

The challenge for companies lies in aligning these objectives with a comprehensive IT or cloud strategy that supports their business models.  Professional implementation is critical, but the industry-wide shortage of skilled labor makes this considerably more difficult. Therefore, according to Techconsult's IT Investment Monitor 2024, many IT decision-makers rely on external consulting and support services, from developing transformation strategies to selecting the right SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), or IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service solution.

“Along with partner solutions from our secure, highly available, and sovereign infrastructure, we support our Marketplace customers with their decision-making processes and technical questions,” adds Andreas Falkner. Experts from the Open Telekom Cloud get a precise picture of customers’ initial situations and requirements and help them identify the appropriate solutions and integrate new applications into their existing IT infrastructure.

New XaaS solution partners on the Open Telekom Marketplace can look forward to an attractive launch offer: a voucher worth € 5,000 for resources from the Open Telekom Cloud. “But the primary benefit for our partners is access to our network of several thousand customers,” continues Andreas Falkner. “Our growing ecosystem offers them new opportunities for their business models and the chance to build exciting partnerships.”
