In March 2024, the independent benchmark provider benchANT evaluated the PostgreSQL offerings from AWS, Azure and the Open Telekom Cloud. benchANT recorded the latencies and throughputs when using the database for analytics scenarios and as a home location register database. The scenarios were simulated using standardized benchmarks (TPC-H and TATP).
The benchmark report provides:
- A detailed description of the benchmark conditions
- The measurement results for throughput and latency in a comparison of the hyperscalers with the Open Telekom Cloud in the two scenarios
- The price/performance ratios for throughput
- The quantitative evaluation of the influence of private IP for the Open Telekom Cloud
