Meeting users face-to-face, presenting solutions live and then directly experiencing how users react to them: This is all part of T-Systems’ plan for further developing its own cloud products. “We want to talk directly with the people who will later also use our solutions,” says Bernd Rederlechner, cloud architect at T-Systems. To achieve this the company is going on tour. Next stop: DevOpsCon at the end of May in Berlin.
Experience data security live: T-Systems at DevOpsCon
The convention offers a varied program with more than 60 sessions and keynotes by internationally renowned speakers and industry experts. The central focus will be the question of how companies master digitalization and transform their IT infrastructure with agile processes, microservices, continuous delivery, container technologies and the cloud. On May 29 and 30, T-Systems will present its own contribution to the range of solutions: end-to-end cloud services. In particular it will focus on the Cloudifier and the Open Telekom Cloud. “Cloud Computing is an integral component of companies’ digitalization,” says Rederlechner. “And with the Cloudifier we bring our customer applications into the cloud very easily.” With the service, applications can be moved to the cloud at a fixed rate. The complete package of consulting, transformation and operation is ideal for founders, start-ups and SMEs.
When companies migrate their applications into the cloud, T-Systems also provides the required environments: the Open Telekom Cloud is the public cloud service operated in certified German data centers. “At every event, the visitors have shown a strong need for data protection and data security” says Rederlechner. “Since the Open Telekom Cloud is a service from a German company that operates exclusively in German data centers, we can easily meet this requirement.” The experts demonstrate this live on site: once logged into the Open Telekom Cloud, visitors can see with their own eyes how securely the data transfers are handled.
Bernd Rederlechner and Veronika Lawrence, cloud consultant at T-Systems, will explain just how secure and efficient the solutions are during their joint talk on May 30. They will highlight the advantages and disadvantages of DevOps for the companies’ IT infrastructure and give simple tips for improving performance sustainably.
