SSL passthrough available as self-service for the Shared ELB

Using the SSL passthrough, data packets are sent to a server via an Elastic Load Balancer (ELB), without decrypting them. The feature can be activated from now on as self-service via the console or API for the Shared ELB in Germany.

Previously, SSL termination took place at the Load Balancer, with data packets being forwarded to a web server as a new SSL encryption. This did not enable end-to-end traffic relations, as the Load Balancer dispatch address, not the original IP address, was visible in the data packet. The SSL passthrough ensures that data remains encrypted while it is transmitted through the Load Balancer.
