RDS - Discontinue of MS SQL Server 2014 SE and 
2016 SE & EE

OTC RDS Microsoft SQL 2014 Standard Edition and Microsoft SQL 2016 Standard & Enterprise Edition will be discontinued on 30th of June 2023.

What does that mean?

RDS instances with this versions will be no longer listed in OTC RDS list.
Already existing RDS instances with this versions can continue running on OTC but the maintenance will be limited.

It is recommended to migrate existing RDS into newer MS SQL Server at least 2017 or 2019 using Data Replication Service.
