by Editorial team

How do users manage cloud resources? Which network access is the right one? How can information in the cloud be encrypted via VPN? And who is the contact person for support? To provide really pragmatic answers to these and other questions, Deutsche Telekom will be offering training courses on four main topics starting in March.

Telekom cloud experts will explain the most important functions, answer individual questions and show tips and tricks for how to use the Open Telekom Cloud. The four-part training series has a modular structure. Each module consists of a 90-minute training session on the topics of basics, network, storage and servers, as well as backups and private images.

Familiarize yourself with the Open Telekom Cloud

"With our individual on-demand training, we want to enable our customers to work securely and confidently with the Open Telekom Cloud," says Andreas Falkner, Vice President Open Telekom Cloud. "Our offer is aimed at cloud architects or developers who have little or no experience with the Open Telekom Cloud. Through the training, companies that want to bring existing or new applications into the cloud can, for example, get to know the services of the Open Telekom Cloud in order to be able to use them quickly and efficiently.”

Participants can choose between on-site training in their own company or a web conference. The training courses are held in either German or English.

Overview of the training modules

  • Basics module: How can users organize their cloud for multiple users? What authorization concepts are there? How are servers created?
  • Network module: What needs to be considered when accessing the cloud? How can users secure the cloud? Which is the right access?
  • Server and storage module: How can servers and storage systems be created? Which operating systems and images are required? How can users use tagging?
  • Backup and private images module: How can users prevent data and application losses? What backup options are available? How can data and servers be restored?
