Mecca for Developers: T-Systems at the Java Conference "JAX"

by Editorial team

Trade Fair, lecture series, meet-and-greet - at the Java and web developer conference "JAX" IT experts from all over Germany have been meeting for more than 15 years at the Java and web developer conference.  In the Spring of last year, more than 2,000 visitors came to Mainz and this year from 23 to 27 April, the organizers expect a similar number of visitors to the Rhineland-Palatinate state capital.

Three events in parallel: Technology Days, BigDataCon and JAX

The five day event attracts visitors due to its diversity and because with just one ticket, all three events can be accessed simultaneously.  JAX, the Business Technology Days and the BigDataCon will take place alongside a trade fair with more than 80 exhibitors.  A total of around 250 keynotes sessions and workshops are also planned.

T-Systems will also have a stand at the event. "There we are dealing with our Cloudifier, with which we bring conventional  IT for companies into the cloud and with the Open Telekom Cloud, our public cloud offering,  from certified German data centers.  In addition, we will use an illustrative exhibit to demonstrate the complex topic of multi-cloud computing." said Bernd Rederlechner, cloud architect at T-Systems.  Bernd will also give a presentation on DevOps on the third day of the event. "At DevOps, the core is to deliver self-developed software faster, without breaking the existing one. During my talk, I explore the entire process of software development, showing amazing ways that can be more effective in even the most established IT organizations. "

DevOps Deployments: "It’s more than just containers"

Nils Magnus will give a talk on deployments at JAX. He is the system architect for the Open Telekom Cloud and will demonstrate in his workshop that containers are far from the only way to develop an independent applications platform. "Pack once, go anywhere - containers are just one way to implement such an approach," says Magnus. "Under the slogan 'well packaged, half mailed', I'll show which deployment path best fits and suits whom, as well as how to get there quickly by skilfully using ready-made offerings."
